He is a full time therapist, author, speaker, writer, and web designer. A native Floridian, he graduated from Florida State University in 1997 with a degree in English and a Minor in Psychology and again in 1999 with a Masters of Science in Education. In 2014, he earned Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. He has been in recovery from co-occurring disorders since 2005 and is active in both Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous.
